8x10 oil painting on a horizontal wood panel
I stepped out into my backyard to paint this painting. Despite the familiar location she didn't come easy. It was the middle of summer & after a few hours out in the sun I still wasn't happy with where my painting was at so I packed up my things & went inside. She sat unpainted for over two months. It can be really hard for me to come back to a painting after that long but I'm so glad I did. Those moody purples mixed in with those soft greens make my heart sing.
